Embark on an interactive journey through Beckov Castle, where you'll get a glimpse into the daily lives of some of its former inhabitants. But that’s not all! You can even try to become one of them. If you succeed, the castellan might recruit you into the castle guard, or perhaps you’ll discover a talent for falconry!

Guided by none other than King Sigismund of Luxembourg himself, you will meet five characters: the castellan, the hunter, the cook, the lady-in-waiting, and the honorable chaplain. Each character has a task for you to complete as best you can. At the end of your journey, you will be evaluated by the King himself. Since you cannot visit all five characters in a single game, your choices will make all the difference.

The castle trail is available in both online and offline versions. The online game can be played anywhere, anytime on your mobile device. The offline game, however, can only be played right here at Beckov Castle, where the individual stations are located. You can find all the necessary instructions, along with a map of the grounds and the stations, directly in the app or at the Beckov Castle ticket office during opening hours.

About the project

The "Behind Castle Stories" project (project code: FMP/KCR/01/07_SK) is implemented by Hrad Beckov, n.o. as the final beneficiary, in cooperation with the lead cross-border partner, POLYPEJE – spolek pro obnovu a využití historických památek.

The project is supported by the Interreg Slovakia – Czechia 2021 – 2027 program through the Small Projects Fund. Its goal is to promote the development of culture and sustainable tourism in the Czech-Slovak border region while strengthening cross-border cooperation between partners.

The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under priority 2.2 Culture and Tourism. The total eligible project costs amount to €60,036.90, with the financial contribution from the European Regional Development Fund totaling €48,029.52 and the contribution from the state budget of the Slovak Republic amounting to €7,204.42.

The Small Projects Fund is managed by the Euroregion Bílé-Biele Karpaty in cooperation with the Trenčín Self-Governing Region and the Region Bílé Karpaty.
