Castle chapel

The Beckov Gothic Castle Chapel was built in 1410 by Stibor of Stiborice. It was originally a standalone structure.

Not much is known about the furnishings of the castle chapel at Beckov Castle. Only a mention of the Beckov/Koryčany Madonna has been preserved; today, a replica is located in the interior.

Medieval castle chapels were an important part of castle complexes and fulfilled not only religious but also social and representational functions. These chapels often served as a place for prayers, masses, and other religious ceremonies for the castle residents and their guests. They were also a symbol of the castle owner's power and prestige.

West palace

The reconstruction of the Western Palace took place in 2022-2023. As part of the reconstruction, several areas were roofed over, which now house the exhibitions.

The palace was commissioned by Stibor of Stiborice at the beginning of the 15th century as a representative space. It was built on the site of the original stone structure.

The Knights' Hall served as a space for dining and is currently used for lectures, small chamber concerts, and weddings.

North palace

The municipality of Beckov, as the owner of the National Cultural Monument (NKP) Beckov Castle, obtained financial resources from the Slovakia Program (administered by the Ministry of Investments, Regional Development, and Informatization of the Slovak Republic - MIRRI SR) for the restoration of the western wing of the north palace.

The contractor is the company MV Staving from Prievidza. Thus, in 2026, you can look forward to newly reconstructed areas and new interiors at Beckov Castle.
